Parachute Jump
As you can see, there are a range of regular events taking place to helpraise the vital funds to enable Algarve Emporium to continue its work. Itcurrently costs €500 per week to provide the food for families and likeeverything else, these costs are rising. What would be fantastic is ifmore people raised money at their own events to raise money for thecharity. If you have a coffee morning planned, a sponsored walk, a even
a cheese and wine evening, please do consider using them as anopportunity to raise all important funds for Algarve Emporium. One of our supporters that did just that is Bruce Lygo, who used his 80thbirthday as an opportunity to raise funds by completing a Skydive.Already a regular contributor, Bruce selected Algarve Emporium as thecharity to benefit from his birthday challenge. It was a beautiful day, with very little wind, perfect conditions for the Skydive, especially forthose that had come along to watch him ‘falling out of the sky’. Bruceconfessed that it was something he signed up for ‘on a whim’ andhaving done it wouldn’t necessarily rush to do it again. Bruce said, ‘I’mglad I did it and was glad to get down. I’m pleased it raised so much’.His birthday Skydive raised €1000 for Algarve Emporium.
