St Vincent’s Anglican Church in Luz

St Vincent’s Anglican Church in Luz has been very good to our charity over a number of years now.
The first time we spoke to them was due to a chance conversation with a friend of mine. We were invited to apply for funds from the Bertie Watson Trust. We completed the paperwork and kept our fingers crossed. A couple of representatives of the funding committee came to visit us and observe the work we do, on a Friday morning.  They must have liked what they saw because they offered to sponsor 2 families for 1 year. In exchange we gave brief family backgrounds explaining why & how we were helping the 2 families. This was followed up by quarterly updates.
The following year they sent us more money, this time to be spent on food for all the families. We were delighted to have received this donation,  as we hadn’t expected it or applied. We were told that they were impressed with what we do and didn’t want to take up more of our time writing reports. Such generosity is very heart warming.
Imagine our surprise when, this year, we received another cash donation in our bank account. It certainly wasn’t expected and very gratefully received.
